The last few weeks have been unprecedented in this nation’s political history and a wild ride for all Americans. The rise of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to the top of the Democratic party’s presidential ticket has injected our collective spirit with a renewed sense of joy, hope, and imagination of what’s possible when we all unite behind a vision for a more just, equitable, sustainable future.
And yet, the stakes of the 2024 election are as high as ever. Democracy is still on the ballot. With just weeks to go before early voting begins in many states, this is the time for We The People to get activated. And right here on Kamala Harris’ home turf, there is a fun event coming up to do just that.
Beet the System & Friends are inviting you to a Benefit Concert for Democracy on Friday, September 6 at The Fireside Lounge in Alameda, California. Join us for an evening of music, laughter, and ways to not only push Harris/Walz over the finish line but give them a Democratic Congress so we can ensure the freedom to vote, make decisions affecting your own body, and enjoy a livable planet for generations to come.
Beet the System will premiere The Kamala Remix of Last Call to Vote (Together We’re Stronger), our clarion call for Americans to unite in preserving the fragile experiment of representative democracy. We will be joined by our talented friend and collaborator Deborah Levoy (whose voice lights up Last Call), singer/songwriter and tireless environmental activist Pete Kronowitt, and our old friend Luke Woodward, singer and guitarist for Long and Strange, the Snoqualmie valley’s most popular – and only! – Grateful Dead tribute band.
